Mr. Charlie Yeh, M.A. is the founder and Executive Director of APLUS College Advisory and APLUS Learning Center, a renowned education center and education service provider in the greater Washington DC area. With more than two decades of corporate experience in risk management, Mr. Yeh also finds his passion in education and has been involved in the field since 1997. He became an Associate Member of IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association) after completing their summer institute at Swarthmore College and is ready and enthusiastic in advising students in their college admission planning, preparation, and counseling.
Ms. Stephanie Yen, M.B.A. is the manager of APLUS Learning Center and Director of Advisory Services for APLUS College Advisory. She provides advisement in the selection and admissions process for post-secondary opportunities including, but not limited to: two and four-year public and private universities/colleges as well as vocational programs and service initiatives. She has aided many applicants in their admission into schools ranked in the top 50 and is excited to lead APLUS in its expansion to Asia.
Mr. Lawrence Davis, M.F.A. is a PhD candidate in 20th CenturyAmerican literature and Asian American literature at the University of Maryland and holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing from San Diego State University. He has taught SAT preparation since 2001 and English composition, literature, and Asian American studies at the University of Maryland since 2005. He is a founding editor of the literary journal The Asian American Literary Review, and his writing has been published in McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, The New York Quarterly,The Louisville Review, and Fiction International. He was a featured speaker at various Smithsonian events, the American Librarians Association Conference, and the National Association for Ethnic Studies Conference. He also served for the advisory group in the upcoming Smithsonian exhibition Asian Pacific Americans: An Introduction to Peoples, Histories, and Cultures. Mr. Davis will be the Principal Essay Advisor for college essay coaching, including: brainstorming, drafting, editing, and reviewing.
Mr. Wen-Fei Zhou, B.A. is a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature at Stanford University and earned his B.A. in English Literature from the University of Maryland. He was named the first University of Maryland Beinecke Scholar in 2011, a prestigious and highly selective national award to pursue doctoral studies in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. He is a member of APLUS College Advisory as an Essay Advisor.
Ms. Christine Yeh, B.A. is a M.Ed candidate in Psychological Counseling with a track in Secondary School Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University and holds a B.A. in East Asian Studies and Architecture from Smith College. She is interested in multicultural/multilingual education and aspires to be a high school guidance counselor at a bilingual school (for multilingual schools are rare). She is a member of APLUS College Advisory as an Applicationand Essay Advisor.
Ms. Heidi Wei, Ph.D. has been in the risk management sector for years as a Marketing Director and joins APLUS as the Director of Business Development for China.
